Social Value at Recycling Management
As a company we care for our people and our community. We are always active with the local community and we ensure a percentage of our workforce is made up of local residents. We want to create sustainable careers for good people, supporting them with relevant training and development along their journey with Recycling Management.
As a friendly, family run business we believe in encouraging the younger generations into the industry and giving them the support they need to grow and become successful in their careers.
The support of friends and family in and around our work place is the key to a happy work-life balance and we always actively encourage our staff to participate in activities that better the local community. We have enjoyed taking part in several charitable events over the past few years to help build awareness, raise money and come together as a team to make a difference.
Our Charity Work
Together We Make A Difference
We are proud to sponsor and participate actively in a number of charitable events each year. Back in 2018 and 2019 we took part in the wolf run to raise awareness of teenage brain tumours and to support a colleague who was battling cancer. We even ab-sailed down a 200ft building in the centre of Birmingham for Parkinson’s UK.
We are also proud sponsors of the Midlands Air Ambulance. Each year a charity football match is held to help raise money for this amazing cause and in 2019 we were able to help be a part of raising £20,000 for the charity. Finally, Christmas 2019 we as a team, decided to a Christmas hamper raffle to help raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital; we raised a total of £569.40.
In 2018 and 2019 we took part in the Wolf Run. A well known MUD run where as a team, we raised awareness of teenage brain tumors and cancer research. Taking part in charitable events like the Wolf run not only raise awareness of crucial charitable work but also allow us, as a team, to bond and have some fun outside of work.
Unfortunately due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020 it has meant that we have been unable to participate in charitable events but as a team, we look forward to the time when we can get back out there and continue to support our local community and chosen charities.
We are now a proud sponsor of Boldmere St. Michaels FC. We are happy to be able to support another local club, supporting the Mikes and the talented young team they have.
