Transport Fleet Manager

Scrap Metal & Waste Management Sector

We are a fast moving, fast growing company in the Waste Sector looking to employ an experienced Transport Fleet Manager, preferably with a waste background. The role is an exciting opportunity managing a busy transport department.

The Person:

  • National CPC license
  • 2 years’ experience in Transportation Planning Management
  • 1 years’ experience in the Waste Management Sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial transport legislation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A high quality of I.T. skills are essential to this role

The Role includes (but not limited to):

  • Planning routes using in-house system
  • Provide reporting and scheduled KPI’s
  • Liaison with operatives and customers to ensure smooth running of planned day
  • Book in vehicle inspections, services and MOTs
  • Ensure scheduling compliance with current tachograph legislation
  • Assess and promote compliance, procedures and legislation
  • Supporting health and safety throughout the fleet
  • Ensuring all paperwork is correctly filled and returned
  • Manage drivers training records
  • Tracking all assets through in-house system
  • Salary Competitive (Dependent on Experience)
  • Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 17:30
  • Occasional Saturdays – 07.00 – 13.00
  • 20 days’ holiday (not including Bank Holidays)
  • Pension (subject to age and service)
